Welcome to Mrs. Bass' Classroom

Welcome to my classroom. I am very excited to be your child's teacher this school year. I have been at Bells Ferry Elementary for twelve years.  Prior to Bells Ferry I taught in Fayetteville, North Carolina and North Tonawanda, New York. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Niagara University. It is a small university on the lower rapids of Niagara Falls. I had amazing views of Canada, the Niagara Gorge and the Escarpment. I earned my Masters Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Buffalo State College. It is a small college just off Lake Erie. Those cold winter winds were enough to make me move south! My husband, Chuck and I have two amazing boys. Jimmy is currently a seventh grader and William is a sixth grader.  Both boys attend JJ Daniell.  Our house is made complete with our two crazy dogs, Gunny and Layla.

I will be your child's primary teacher.  In addition, Mrs. Nelson will be joining us for at least one segment of learning each day.  She and I have worked together now for three years.  We are looking forward to another GREAT year!!

This blog will be a great way to help you locate information on how to get textbooks online, current spelling and vocabulary words, homework assignments, and newsletters.   I will do my best to update my blog regularly.

Thank you in advance for working together with me to make your child's  fourth grade year a successful one!!

New Year ---- New Room

We are so excited to be in our new room.  I am attaching a copy of the Activ program I made for a reminder of rules and guidelines.  The fonts are all different because of how I had it on the program. I have looked over it and think I found my changes.

These are not new rules (other than the bathroom) but they are reminders about the rules.Download Welcome Back to the New Year rules
