*Remember to study math facts, spelling list and to read and record 20 minutes or more in your reading log DAILY.
Your child should complete 3 or 4 of the spelling activities. The pages with the choices of activities will remain in your child’s folder. Your children have been doing a fantastic job on our weekly spelling tests.

Language Arts: We will continue to focus on informational writing.

*Please remember to send a snack in every day.
*Remember to send a note about transportation changes. I do not always have a chance to check my e-mails before the end of the day.
*Car Rider Parents: Please remember to post your number in your windshield.
*Please send a jacket or coat with your child. As we know the temperature can change very quickly. Also remember to put your child’s name in their jackets, coats, sweatshirts, and sweaters.

February 14, 2012 Valentine’s Day – We will exchange cards after lunch. We will not be having a party! I will have the children look for literary elements and parts of speech on their cards. For example: similes, adjectives, verbs, and nouns. We have 20 children who will participate in Valentine’s Day.
