Hello, I am Shannon Pitts, mother to Laurynn and Landen and now your child’s teacher. I am a native of Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary education.
I have taught in Alabama, Kentucky, and now Georgia collectively a total of nine years. This is my third year at Bells Ferry Elementary. During my tenure as a teacher, I have conducted professional development workshops, mentored student teachers, and was named Teacher of the Year for the Birmingham City School District.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I am looking forward to teaching your boys and girls and working with you in continuing their journey as lifelong learners!
